The Making: Copper, Printed Detail, and Wood
Copper as the Artwork Material
Copper gives this decorative work its material identity. Paired with a traditional auspicious theme, it brings metalwork into the scale of an intimate framed picture, suitable for a desk, console, or shelf.
Printed Decorative Artwork
The decorative design is applied through a printing process, bringing color and pictorial detail to the copper artwork. This combination gives each composition its own visual character, pairing the identity of the metal material with the expression of a printed image.
Mounted in a Wooden Frame
The artwork is mounted and finished with a wooden frame. The frame gives the composition a defined border and brings the visual warmth of wood alongside the copper artwork. Together, these elements create a complete decorative piece for tabletop display.

The Meaning of Hulu
The hulu, or bottle gourd, is a familiar auspicious motif in Chinese decorative tradition. Its name is often linked through wordplay with fu and lu — blessings and prosperity. In this collection, that association becomes a wish you can place within everyday view.
